I love M&M’s so when I read an article about an 11 year old girl that raised money using M&M candy tubes I had to share her story.
Faith Fannie from Gilbert, AZ received national attention when she raised $10,000 for charity with candy tubes from Costco.
Faith decided to send out 1,000 M&M tubes to friends, family, people in her neighborhood, and anyone she could, to raise money for the charity Feed My Starving Children.
Just one M&M tube filled with quarters feeds a child 58 meals. She raised enough for almost 40,000 meals.

13 year old Inspired 6th graders to Change the World

100 Long Valley Middle School students were inspired to make a difference to Change the World after listening to Malcolm Sutherland-Foggio. He came to their school and shared his story of battling bone cancer, having his hip removed, his fight to remission, and his desire to make a difference for other kids.
13 year old Malcolm founded an organization called “Make Some Noise” to raise research money to find cures for the 12 known types of childhood cancers.

The One Fund Boston

We all know about the horrible bombings at the Boston Marathon on April 15th, but what you may not know about is a charity that was set up called The One Fund Boston.
A day after the bombings, two influential people in the Boston community, Deval Patrick and Mayor Tom Menino announced the charity being formed to raise money for the families affected by the attacks.
Just a week later, the campaign raised an amazing $20 million dollars. $6.3 million was raised by individuals locally and nationally who wanted to help. While $14.8 million was raised from corporate donations. More >
Tennis Tournament for Charity

I am happy to see everyone blogging again. I have been very busy with Tennis Season in full swing — juggling my training, tournaments and my school work. But I wanted to blog about this one tournament that I just played in.
Palencia Tennis Center in St. Augustine, Florida hosted its 2nd Annual Charity Tennis Tournament April 12 – 14th with the proceeds going to support Camp Boggy Creek.
Camp Boggy Creek opened in 1996 and is free to seriously ill campers and their families. Donations cover the $4 million dollar operating cost of the 232 acre site. It More >
