Kids Helping to Save the Planet (Part I)

Now this is someone that I can relate to!
Cameron Cohen, now 12 years old, had surgery for a benign tumor in his leg a year ago and during his nine month recovery created an iPhone app called iSketch, that lets people draw on a computer screen. (Holly I think you would really like this)
The iSketch only costs .99 to download and allows a user to paint with their fingers, choose multiple brush sizes & colors, add captions and send pictures via e-mail.

Using the arts as a team spirit builder in school

Wow! I just got an email from a summer camp friend from Florida. She attends Moon Lake Elementary in New Port Richey, Florida. And this year to kick off the new term their principal and teachers brought in a great new program. To help build more of a community feeling and a sense that school is more than any one particular classroom, they organized a “drumming” exercise that kids from all the grades participated in to start the day. As you all know, I love to cook. I am constantly watching cooking shows on the Food Network and Bravo, and Chef Emeril is one of my favorites. So I found it interesting that my passion is also spreading to other kids. I am part of a generation of food fanatics.
