Technology is the Future
Hey Daisy, you know how I always talk about how important technology is and that everything we will be doing in the future will involved technology? Well, I just read an article about how an organization is fund raising to put new technology is a renovated High School in Danvers, MA.
An organization called DEEP is trying to raise $500,000 towards the total cost of $1.65 million dollars for a whole new technology infrastructure, hardware and software. Supposedly the state is kicking in $1.2 million but there is still a gap to fill.

Kids Against Hunger
I read this article and thought it was amazing how one couple could start a small project and have it grow into something so Big!
In 2007, Dan and Nancy Hintz had a dream to help address the issues of hunger, and established the Central Indiana location for Kids Against Hunger. In their first year they packaged 100,000 meals with just the two of them and a couple of volunteers.

An Almost-Sleepover Event Wins $10,000
Daisy, check out what these girls accomplished by believing that they can make a difference.
Addie Kenney, 8 years old and her sister Delany Kenny, 9 years old headed up an Almost Sleepover with more than 30 of their friends last October in Guilford, CT. The admission to the event was a pair of new pajamas, which were donated to Life Haven, a shelter for women and children in New Haven.

H.S. Senior Leads Forum on Childhood Obesity
Hey Cooper, you know how we are always talking about how kids our age need to start exercising more and eating better? Here is a story of a senior in high school who is working to help kids in his community do just that!
Scotie Conner, 17 years old is now self-confident and not self-conscious, but when he was in 5th grade he weighed more than he does now as a senior.
He is also committed to staying healthy and helping other young people become healthy too.
