Improving our school lunch is not just about choosing what we eat

I just read this great article about school lunches. We are doing so well getting kids to eat healthy, but did you know that eating healthy foods takes longer to munch than junk food? I think this is something that our club could tackle. I think we should ask the Principal to give us 10 more minutes at lunch. It would really benefit all of us, not to mention we can focus on our afternoon classes better.

QR Codes — Technology In Action

Hey Daisy — I just read an article about a building in Tokyo, Japan that had all of its exterior advertisements removed and replaced by a large single QR-Code. QR stands for “Quick Response” and you’ve probably seen these codes on products that sell in stores. They’re those small square shaped, geometric symbols on the package.

The QR-Codes are bar codes, packed with a ton of data and information. When a person scans these codes with the right software, they learn all sorts of things from the data that is stored on the QR-Code.

Dave Thomas – He Is Inspiring Me

I can’t believe it is the middle of January already! It seems as if the holidays went so fast. I really enjoyed them with everyone, especially that New Year’s Eve party at Daisy’s house. It was my first one ever, and I think it was the first time I ever stayed up until 2 am at someone else’s house.
