If it is the end of May, then it must mean that Memorial Day, the end of the school year, and summer is around the corner…..and the Stanley Cup Finals in the National Hockey League.

The Los Angeles Kings have already clinched the Western Conference spot and the East is in a battle between the New Jersey Devils and their biggest rivals, the New York Rangers. After last nights exciting game,
the Devils lead the best of seven series, three games to two, and play game 6 Friday night.

I love watching hockey all season long, but when they reach the playoffs, the intensity of the games are even stronger! The great saves, the hard hitting, the precise skating and fast shooting…..and don’t forget about the fans at the arenas with their loud screaming and cheering!

I’m ready to go lace up my skates and hit the ice. The only problem is, my lake is not covered with ice and its 80 degrees out! Guess I have to wait until the winter. Or go find an indoor rink. Or maybe I will turn the air conditioner all the way down, and wait for the next game to come on TV!!
