Mentoring Young People

I just read an article about a man by the name of Dick Perdew, who used to own a local flower shop, and 12 years ago found with his two children grown and out of the house, he had time and wanted to change a child’s life.

I Got a Present

I have to share something that just happened to me. My foster care worker came to Mrs. Sheffield’s house today to check on me and brought me a brand new blue duffel bag filled with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, a toothbrush and toothpaste!

The Pajama Program

As my friends know, I am a big book reader and I found out about an organization this is doing something great for children. The Pajama Program provides new pajamas and new books to children in need. Many of these kids are waiting and hoping to be adopted. Thousands of the children they serve live in orphanages, group homes and shelters.

Dave Thomas – He Is Inspiring Me

I can’t believe it is the middle of January already! It seems as if the holidays went so fast. I really enjoyed them with everyone, especially that New Year’s Eve party at Daisy’s house. It was my first one ever, and I think it was the first time I ever stayed up until 2 am at someone else’s house.
