The One Fund Boston
We all know about the horrible bombings at the Boston Marathon on April 15th, but what you may not know about is a charity that was set up called The One Fund Boston.
A day after the bombings, two influential people in the Boston community, Deval Patrick and Mayor Tom Menino announced the charity being formed to raise money for the families affected by the attacks.

Richard Branson Joins the Giving Pledge
As you all know, I blogged about how Warren Buffett and Bill Gates created “The Giving Pledge” – which is a commitment by billionaires to give half their wealth away to a mega charity. Of course they used themselves as examples.

Now 12 new people from overseas have joined up, including Richard Branson, owner of the Virgin Group. Others come from Australia, Germany, India, Malaysia, Russia, South Africa, the Ukraine and 5 more from the United Kingdom.

This act created an image for her of feeding a whole nation. So she created a goal to “wipe out Hunger in America.”
In 2009, Katie won the “Launch my Dream” More >

At the age of 37, Jimmie Johnson has 5 Sprint Car Championships, all won in a row. He More >
